USA Michelin Political Wall Map ENCAPSULATED

United States at 1:3,450,000 on a large wall map from Michelin, size 144 x 100cm (57″ x 39.5″ approx) ‘“ encapsulated version, showing road network on a base with each state presented in a different colour. The map also has two decorative panels of state flags.Topography is shown by subtle relief shading with peak heights are given both in feet and in metres. Each state is shown in a contrasting colour and state capitals are marked. The map has latitude and longitude lines at intervals of sยฐ. An inset shows different time zones.Above and below the map is the same panel of state flags, showing for each state its nickname, size and population, date and order of accession to the Union, and the state capital state capital.PLEASE NOTE: this wall map is also available on paper without the encapsulation.LAMINATED and ENCAPSULATED WALL MAPS:- LAMINATED wall maps have a thin layer of plastic usually applied to the printed side only. They can be written on with suitable marker pens without any damage to the map but, unless laminated on both sides, they are not damp-proof.- ENCAPSULATED wall maps are sealed between two sheets of plastic. They are more rigid and heavier than laminated maps of the same size. They are damp-proof and do not crinkle in humid conditions. Encapsulation gives the map a shiny surface, similar to being displayed behind glass.- PLEASE NOTE: many publishers and retailers often use these two terms interchangeably.
