Ukraine: Crimea Tourist Atlas

Crimea at 1:100,000 on a 176-page paperback atlas from the Ukrainian publishers Kartografija, with English language map legend, contoured maps to show the topography, town plans of the peninsula’™s 10 main cities and resorts, plans or drawings of popular historical sites, etc. All place names are in the Cyrillic alphabet.The whole of Crimea is covered by detailed survey mapping with contours at 20m intervals and spot heights, plus colours and/or graphics for various types of terrain and vegetation (meadows or steppe, vineyards, orchards, etc). Presentation of the road network indicates unsurfaced roads and local tracks and shows locations of petrol stations, car service centres, and traffic patrol service points. Railways indicate stations and include narrow gauge lines. The maps show local administrative boundaries, as well as national parks, game reserves, landscape parks, and seaside aquatic centres. A wide range of symbols highlights places of interest, sport and recreational facilities, campsites and caravan sites, etc. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at intervals of 10`.The atlas has street plans of Crimea’™s 10 main towns (Alushta, Bakhchysaray, Feodosiya, Kerch, Novyi Svit, Sevastopol, Simferopol, Sudak, Yalta, and Yevpatoriya) highlighting various places of interest, and supplemented by detailed drawings/plans of main parks, monuments, archaeological sites, etc. Also included are general thematic maps of the whole of Crimea, a distance table, and an index of localities. Map legends, both for the main section and for the street plans, include English.
