The Fifth Lake (El Cinque Llac) Hiking Circuit

The Fifth Lake trail, a 5-day hiking circuit in the Spanish Pyrenees just south of the Aigรผestortes i Sant Maurici Natural Park, on a contoured, GPS compatible map at 1:30,000 from Editorial Alpina. The trail, specially created in summer 2012, takes its name from the Lakes Train railway line which runs from Lleida to La Pobla de Segur, the trailโ€™s starting point.The map provides an excellent picture of the regionโ€™s topography using the Catalan topographic survey as a base. Contour lines at 10m intervals are enhanced by relief shading and colouring. The course of the Fifth Lake trail is prominently highlighted, and symbols indicate local tourist accommodation, bars and restaurants, grocery shops, special places of interest, etc. The map has a 2-km UTM grid.
