Sardinia South-West: The Mining Coast Hiking Trail Guide

English language 63-page guide to a 60km / 5 day trail along Sardinia’™s south-western coast between Portoscuso and Piscinas, with contoured maps, GPS coordinates for important points, route profiles for each stage, and numerous colour photos. The author, Lino Cianciotto, is an environmental hiking guide who organizes active holidays in Sardinia.An introductory section provides a useful overview for planning, indicating the length and approximate duration of each stage, the change in elevation, etc. Each stage is presented on a contoured map, with scales from 1:25,000 to 1:36,000, highlighting the route annotated with GPS waypoints. Symbols both along the trail and inland indicate locations with accommodation (campsites, B&Bs, hotels, farms), restaurants, food shops, banking and internet services, access by bus, petrol stations, medical facilities, etc, plus various recreational sites (climbing, beaches, bike hire, riding schools, etc) and places of interest including Sardinia’™s famous nuraghi. Informative description of the route is cross-referenced to the GPS-waypoints marked on the maps. The guide is printed on good quality paper and illustrated with numerous colour photos.
