Penryn in 1906 in a fascinating series of reproductions of old Ordnance Survey plans in the Alan Godfrey Editions, ideal for anyone interested in the history of their neighbourhood or family. Coverage includes the town centre, with Lower Street, The Praze, Commercial Road, Town Hall, Market Street, Broad Street, The Green, West Street, Church Road, St Gluvias church, College Farm, China Stone Mills, Custom House. A section of the GWR Falmouth Branch is included but not the station. The map extends east to cover Penryn Harbour, including Sailors Creek, Ponsharden, Boyer`s Cellors. Tehidy Terrace is in the bottom right corner. Coverage north extends to Bissom. The plans have been taken from the Ordnance Survey mapping and reprinted at about 15 inches to one mile (1:4,340).
