The map is covers the small village of Wales, a few miles south-east of Sheffield, stretching from Wales Court southward to the Manor House, Lord Conyers Arms, Wales Grange, St John`s church and the cemetery. Further east is the colliery settlement of Kiveton Park, including Kiveton Park Collieries, the railway with part of the Killamarsh Branch, Kiveton Rows and The Barracks, etc. On the reverse are directory entries for Wales, Todwick and Harthill with Woodall. a 1916 Midland Railway timetable for the Sheffield-Treeton-Chesterfield line.About the Alan Godfrey Editions of the 25″ OS Series:Selected towns in Great Britain and Ireland are covered by maps showing the extent of urban development in the last decades of the 19th and early 20th century.
