Five Hundred Buildings of Paris
Five Hundred Building of Paris is a photographic guide dedicated to exploring the rich architecture of the city through pictures. Accompanied by text by Kathy Borrus, photographers Jorg Brickmann and James Driscoll have captured Paris’ most impressive buildings (in addition to the lesser-known gems) in all of the city’s twenty arrondissements The guide is arranged by area, or arrondissement, and each black and white photograph is accompanied by its address, the date in which it was built and if any extensions have since been added. At the back of the guide there are short descriptions of each of the 500 buildings within formation on its architects, (often) multiple uses, architecture and general history. Arrondissement sections each have individual introductions to the general style, history and background of the neighbourhood, to give greater context to the photographs.
