Caribbean Islands Western Half ITMB Travel Atlas
The islands of the western Caribbean presented by ITMB in a handy size, A5, paperback, indexed atlas with city centre street plans of main cities. The mapping is taken from ITMB’s extensive coverage of the region on individual country maps, so scales vary. The atlas covers the Bahamas (1:500,000) with street plans of Nassau, New Providence and Freeport City; Turks and Caicos (1:50,000); Cuba (1:600,000) with plans of Havana, Santiago and the Varadero resort, plus an enlargement of the Havana region; Cayman Islands (1:37,500) with a plan of George Town; Jamaica (1:250,000) with a street plan of Kingston; Haiti and the Dominican Republic (1:400,000) with plans of Port au Prince and Santo Domingo; plus Puerto Rico (1:18,000) with a plan of San Juan City.All the maps present the topography by altitude colouring, with colour bands and heights in some countries in metres and in other locations in feet. Road network indicates driving distance on main routes. International and local airports are marked. A range of symbols highlight various places of interest including beaches and water sport sites, nature reserves and other protected areas, etc. Most maps shows latitude and longitude lines, and the atlas is indexed.The size of street plans varies from two pages for the larger cities such as Havana or Kingston to smaller size insets. All highlight selected accommodation and/or other facilities.
