Black Forest 3-in-1 Outdoor Maps Ring Binder Kompass 2701
Black Forest region of Germany on waterproof and tear-resistant, contoured and GPS-compatible maps at 1:35,000 from Kompass presented in a ring-binder atlas and highlighting hiking paths, a selection of cycle/mountain biking/ski/horse riding trails, various accommodation options, etc. Each removable sheet is double-sided and 30.5x26cm when opened. The binder comes with a map case and a lanyard.Coverage extends from the French side of the Rhine including Strasbourg to just west of Stuttgart and Schaffhausen, and north/south from Karlsruhe and Pforzheim to the Swiss border. Topography is vividly presented by contours at 20m intervals, enhanced by shading and graphic relief for exposed rock, plus spot heights and colouring and/or graphics for different types of the terrain and vegetation (glaciers, swamps, heath, woodlands, etc). Extensive overprint highlights hiking paths, indicating special nature or themed trails and Nordic Walking routes, as well as more difficult steep sections. Also highlighted is a selection of cycling, mountain biking, horse riding and ski (alpine tours and cross-country) routes. Long-distance hiking and cycling routes, including the E1 Trans-Europe Trail, Southern Black Forest Cycle Route, etc, are indicated by special symbols.An extensive range of symbols indicate various accommodation options (campsites, youth hostels, Friends of Nature houses, inns, etc), sport and recreational facilities (climbing walls, paragliding, etc), cultural and historical places, etc. All forms of mountain transport are included (cable cars, chair lifts, etc); road network show locations of local bus stops, car parks and P+R facilities; railway lines are shown with stations. Each map has a UTM grid.
