Battlefields of the USA Civil War Bella Terra War Map

Battlefields of the American Civil War on a double-sided map from Bella Terra with several enlargements, all extensively annotated with notes about various troops movements, battles and other events. The map is a reprint of a title originally published in 1961 by the National Geographic Society.On one side the main map covers the Confederate states, plus the adjoining regions of the Union. The map shows road and rail links at the time of the Civil War, with all information related to the conflict colour-coded to indicate which side it refers to. A separate inset shows the major offensives during the war.On the reverse a series of separate panels present various regions in greater detail: the Cockpit of the Civil War, with further enlargements for Grant at Richmond, Gettysburg, Charleston Harbour and Fort Sumter in 1861; the Vicksburg Campaign; Nashville to Atlanta with an enlargement for the Battles for Atlanta; and Memphis to Huntsville.Another panel extends the coverage of the main map further west across Texas, the Indian Territory and New Mexico to highlight related events in that part of the US.
