Brazil’s river network is presented in great detail, with names of numerous tributaries of the Amazon and rivers in other parts of the country.Locations of interest are prominently highlighted, with separate colouring for towns or villages and for natural sites such as national parks. Numerous other protected areas and Indian Reservations are also marked. Adjoining areas of other countries are similarly presented. Road network varies according to the density population and includes in more remote areas local tracks. Driving distances are given on main highways and many connecting routes. Railways lines, local airports and aerodromes, state boundaries and time zones are shown. The map has latitude and longitude lines at intervals of 2ยบ. Multilingual map legend includes English.Extensive index, covering both Brazil and the neighbouring countries, is in a separate 56-page booklet attached to the map cover and lists town and villages plus natural features: rivers, lakes, mountains, etc. Also provided for the whole area are a separate list of World Heritage Sites and an extensive list of national parks, plus a distance table for Brazilian cities with foreign capitals.
