Grande Traversรฉe de l’™Hรฉrault a VTT: Montpellier – La Salvetat/Minervois covers a mountain bike route across the Languedoc region presented on 1:50,000 topographic survey maps. Starting at Fondespierre, just north of Montpellier, the route provides two alternative destination points: Le Salvetat-sur-Agoรปt in the Haut-Languedoc Regional Park (319km), or Minervois further south (389km), with a connection to Carcassonne.The route is presented as a boxed set of 32 loose pages plus a booklet with practical information. 29 pages contain extracts from IGN’™s topographic survey of France at 1:50,000 overprinted with the route, accompanied by instructions for specific points marked on the map. Symbols highlight various places of interest, accommodation and campsites, restaurants and grocery shops, etc. and cross-referenced to instructions for the route itself. Each page covers a section between 9km and 27km in length. On the reverse is information on the degree of difficulty of the stage, altitude changes, road surface, possible danger points, etc., plus general descriptions of the area and lists of places of interest including local museums, churches, etc.The remaining three loose pages contain a general map indicating towns with SNCF stations, a detailed profile of the whole route showing altitude changes in steps of 1km, plus an introduction to the region.The 19-page booklet provides general advice and lists of contact details for various local tourist offices and other relevant information, as well as *stage by stage list of accommodation facilities with phone numbers*, indicating, where appropriate, the number of places, seasonal opening terms, availability of hot meals, etc.*All the text is in French.*
