South East Queensland Hema

South East Queensland on an indexed touring map from Hema at 1:500,000, with on the reverse a more detailed map of the Brisbane region including the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast, a detailed street plans of Brisbane and the Gold Coast, plus diagrams of Brisbane’™s TransLink and ferry networks.The main map extends along the coast north of Brisbane beyond Bundaberg to the top of the Fraser Island, south beyond Ballina in the north-eastern corner of New South Wales, and inland across the Great Dividing Range well beyond Dalby. Topography is presented by relief shading, with prominent colouring for national/state parks and other protected areas, graphics for swamps and salt flats, mangrove, etc, plus plenty of names of mountain ranges. Road network indicates unsealed roads, gives driving distances on most local roads and country tracks, and shows locations of fuel supplies. Icons indicate various facilities including caravan parks, camping areas, bush camping and rest areas. Locations of information centres are annotated with phone numbers. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 30’™. The index lists only places of interest marked on the map.On the reverse side the Brisbane Region, including the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast, is shown in greater detail on a fully indexed map at 1:300,000. Also provided here are two very clear street plans: central Brisbane with a list of places of interest and of over 40 hotels, plus the Gold Coast from Main Beech to Broadbeach with names of individual hotels and other types of tourist accommodation. Two more panels show the city’™s ferry services along the Brisbane River, plus a diagram of the train and busway network.PLEASE NOTE: the main map at 1:500,000 is also available as a waterproof and tear-resistant adventure map of South East Queensland with different information on the reverse.
