Savannah Way – Cairns to Broome Hema Touring Map
The Savannah Way linking Cairns in Queensland and Broome in Western Australia highlighted on a road map from Hema showing the northern part of Australia with local roads and outback tracks, various facilities including fuel supplies, etc, plus enlargements of popular areas, tables of facilities in national parks, etc.The map is double-sided, showing on one side northern Queensland with the north-western part of Northern Territory; on the reverse coverage starts with a very generous overlap, showing the northern parts of Northern Territory and Western Australia. The course of the Savannah Way, including its suggested variants, is prominently highlighted. Road network indicates sealed and unsealed roads, tracks and rough tracks. Symbols indicate different types of fuel supplies and rest areas, camping and caravanning facilities, local airports, information centres, etc. Also marked are various points of interest. National parks / other protected areas and Aboriginal Lands are prominently highlight6ed. Topography is shown by names of mountain ranges, deserts, etc, plus graphics for salt pans, swamps, areas subject to inundations, etc. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 1ยบ intervals. Enlargements present in greater detail four national parks: Boodjamulla (Lawn Hills) in QLD, Kakadu and Judbarra/Gregory in NT, plus Purnululu in WA, annotated where useful with GPS coordinates.
