Yosemite Valley

Yosemite Valley on a light, waterproof and tear-resistant, contoured and GPS compatible map at 1:24,000 from Tom Harrison. Coverage is centred on the Valley Visitor Centre and extends from the Pohono Bridge in the west to the Moraine Dome east of the Little Valley Ranger Station. Contour interval is 40 feet (12 metre approx.), enhanced by light shading and colouring for the forested areas; heights are given in both feet and metres. Hiking trails are clearly shown and annotated with distances in kilometres and miles. Also marked are bike paths. A wide range of symbols indicate locations of various tourist facilities including different accommodation options, tours, shops, bike rentals, shuttle bus stops, etc. The map has a UTM grid, plus latitude and longitude margin ticks.Additional features show what facilities are available at different locations (Yosemite Lodge, Ahwahnee Hotel, etc), plus small profiles of three climbing faces (El Capitan, Half Dome and Glacier Point) and three waterfalls (Upper and Lower Yosemite Fall, Nevada Fall and Vernal Fall, plus Bridalveil Fall).
