Washington DC & Eastern Corridor (Boston to DC) ITMB
Central Washington DC on clear, well presented indexed street plan from ITMB with a diagram of the metro network and a road map of the capital’s environs, plus on the reverse a road map of the Eastern Seaboard from Boston to beyond Raleigh in North Carolina, extending inland to Niagara Falls and Pittsburgh.On one side is a street plan of Washington DC, extending from the Anacostia River in the east across the city centre and the Potomac to the Pentagon and the Arlington National Cemetery. In the north coverage extends to the Howard University and the Zoo, and in the south access to the terminals of the Ronald Reagan Airport is included. Subway and commuter rail stations are clearly marked, with a separate diagram showing the whole network. Main traffic arteries are highlighted and one way streets are marked. Government buildings and important institutions are named, and the plan highlights various other places of interest, including numerous hotels. Streets are annotated with block numbers for easier identification of addresses, and the index includes an explanation of the city’s street numbering system. Also provided is a small road map of the city’s environs. On the reverse is an indexed road map at 1:1,000,000 showing the Eastern Seaboard from Boston to Raleigh in North Carolina, and inland to include Niagara Falls and Pittsburgh. Interstate highways are shown with exit numbers, and driving distances are also marked on many state roads. Railway lines are included and local airports are marked. Topography is indicated by altitude colouring, with peak heights given in feet. The map highlights national parks and various other interesting locations.
