St Petersburg on an indexed street plan from Jana Seta combining coverage of the city with outer suburbs including access to the Pulkovo Airport with a more detailed, very clear map of the city centre prominently highlighting its main sights, metro stations, selected hotels, etc, plus a diagram of the metro network. Names of main streets and buildings plus metro stations are in both Latin and Cyrillic alphabets; other place names are in the Latin alphabet only and where appropriate in English.On one side is a street plan at 1:35,000 covering the city with its outer suburbs, extending north and north-east to the Parnas and Devyatkino bus stations, and south to show road access to the terminal of the Pulkovo Airport. Metro stations are prominently marked. Streets are annotated with selected house numbers. Symbols highlight selected hotels, historic buildings and cultural institutions, etc. On the reverse central St. Petersburg is excellently presented in greater detail at 1:12,000. Coverage extends west beyond the Mariinsky Theatre, north to the Peter and Paul Fortress and the Finland railway station, east to the Smolny complex and the Alexander Nevsky bridge, and south beyond the Vitebsk railway station. Main buildings are prominently highlighted by small drawings and other important sights are clearly marked, as are metro station, main hotels, etc. As on the other plan, streets are annotated with selected house numbers. The index refers to both maps.The two maps are accompanied by lists of museums, main hotels, consulates, airlines, etc, including even lifting times for main bridges! On the back cover is a diagram of the metro network with names in both scripts. Map legend and all the text either include or are in English.
