St Eustatius / Statia
The Dutch island of St Eustatius, also affectionately known by the locals as Statia or Statius, on a detailed map at 1:10,000 from the Caribbean-based cartographer Michal Kasprowski, with an index of streets and roads plus lists of diving and snorkelling sites in the island’s coastal waters. The map provides a very vivid picture of the island’s topography through shading and colouring to show the crater of The Quill, contours at 50m intervals, plus spot heights. Beaches and rocky parts of the coastline are marked, along with coral reefs. Given the scale of 1:10,000, individual streets and roads are named and listed in the accompanying index. Symbols indicate various facilities and places of interest, including 36 diving sites, annotated with depths in metres and feet, and three snorkelling sites. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 1’ intervals.
