Paris par Arrondissement Michelin ZOOM
Street atlas of Paris from Michelin in an A5 paperback format with the publishers’ excellent cartography enlarged to 1:8,300 approx, so clearest and easiest to read, but with pages arranged by arrondisements. Plus transport diagrams and other useful information. This version, arranged by arrondissements with each one covered on two or more pages, is perhaps more suitable for those who are already familiar with the city’s administrative layout, although each spread of two adjoining page does include a small diagram showing which part of the city is covered on it. Michelin’s cartography remains a benchmark for accurate presentation of the street network, so ideal for all those who wish to go beyond the usual tourist routes and explore Parisian nooks and crannies or just need an accurate and detailed plan of the whole city. The mapping accurately reflects the actual street layout and shows all the minor streets, little alleys, small squares, covered passages, etc. Steep streets with steps are marked. Where useful, the plan indicates various entrances to metro and/or RER stations, and also shows stops of the Voguรฉo boat services along the Seine and the canals, plus the Vรฉlib’ cycle stations and taxi ranks. For drivers the plans shows one way streets, restricted access, car and/or coach/truck parks and 24hr petrol stations. Public buildings, including all the famous monuments and museums, are clearly marked and named. Symbols indicate various services and facilities including sports grounds, post offices, etc. Streets are annotated with selected house numbers for easier identification of addresses. In addition to the index the atlas includes: an enlargement for the Les Halles – Pompidou Centre area showing pedestrianized streets; maps of the Bois de Boulogne, Bois de Vincennes, plus La Dรฉfense (with a street and business index); a diagram of the metro/RER/tramway/SNCF network within Paris and its inner suburbs; a similar diagram for the wider area around the capital but without the metro; a list of bus lines with diagrams of the bus network and of the night routes; a diagram showing access by public transport to Charles de Gaulle and Orly Airports; lists, by arrondisements, of street markets with days of the week and times, taxi ranks and points for recharging electric cars; plus lists of useful addresses and contact detailsTo see Michelin`s alternative coverage of Paris and their range of maps of other cities, please click on the series link.
