Palestine +100: Stories from a Century after the Catastrophe

English PEN Translation Award Winner`Palestine + 100` poses a question to contemporary Palestinian writers: what might your home city look like in the year 2048 exactly 100 years after the displacement of more than 700,000 people after the Israeli War of Independence? How might that war reach across a century of repair and rebirth, and affect the state of the country its politics, its religion, its language, its culture and how might Palestine have finally escaped it, and found its own peace, a hundred years down the line? As well as being an exercise in escaping the politics of the present in a country which some have called the largest prison in the world, this anthology is also an opportunity for a hotbed of contemporary Arabic writers to offer their own spin on science fiction and fantasy.
