Lapland – Northern Scandinavia Karttakeskus
The whole of the northernmost part of Scandinavia at 1:800,000 on a double-sided map with altitude colouring, plus street plans of Tromsรธ, Rovaniemi and Murmansk. Coverage extends south to the top of the Gulf of Bothnia, and eastwards just beyond Murmansk.The map is double-sided, with a good overlap between the sides. Topography is shown by altitude colouring. National parks and other protected areas are highlighted. Road network distinguishes between surfaced and unsurfaced roads and indicates privately maintained roads opened to the general public. The map shows tolls, service stations, seasonal closures and driving distances on main routes. Railway lines, ferry connections and coastal shipping routes are included and local airports are marked. Symbols indicate locations of campsites, winter sport centres, and other places of interest. Within Russia all place names are shown both in the Cyrillic and the Latin alphabets and, where appropriate, include their historical Finnish versions. Latitude and longitude lines are drawn at 30’ and 1ยฐ respectively, with additional margin ticks for UTM coordinates.
