Indian Country: the Four Corners Region road map at 1:735,000 approx. from GM Johnson Associates, covering northern Arizona, southern Utah and the adjoining corners of south-west Colorado and north-west New Mexico. Enlargements provide more detailed coverage of national parks and other protected areas.On one side is a very clear road map at 1:735,000 approx. cover a region known in the US as the ‘œFour Corners”. Coverage north/south extends from the Canyon Lands and Capitol Reef National Parks in Utah to Show Low in Arizona; east/west the map stretches roughly from Del Norte CO and Albuquerque NM to the state border with Nevada. Plain base with just colouring for different types of protected areas clearly shows local roads and tracks, all shown with driving distance, and main recreational trails. Railways are included and local airports are marked. Also shown are administrative boundaries.Topography of the area is indicated by names of peaks, plateaux, deserts and other geographical features. National parks or forests and other protected areas are prominently coloured according to their official status. Also marked are the region’™s numerous Indian Reservations. Symbols indicate various places of interest including campgrounds, historic sites, chapter houses, trading posts, picnic or rest areas, casinos, etc. The map has no geographical coordinates. Extensive index on the reverse lists counties, cities and communities, Indian reservations, parks/forests/etc. areas plus campgrounds, natural features, ruins and historic sites, chapter houses, and other points of interest.Around the main map and on the reverse are enlargement at various scales providing more detailed coverage of Grand Canyon NP, Bryce Canyon NP, Zion NP, Mesa Verde NP, Canyon de Chelly National Monument, Chaco Culture National Historic Park and Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park. Also provided are brief descriptions and contact details of several places of interest.
