Exo Mani – Verga – Kardamyli – Trachila Anavasi 8.10

The northern part of the western coast of the Mani Peninsula, the ‘œmiddle finger” of the Peloponnese, on a light, waterproof and tear-resistant, double-sided, contoured and GPS-compatible map at 1:20,000 from Anavasi highlighting 24 hiking trails and various facilities and places of interest. Coverage, with a good overlap between the sides, extends along the coast from Kato Verga and Mikri Mantinia to Trachila, plus eastwards on the northern side just beyond the peak of Chalasmeno and on the southern side further east to Kastania and Arna.Contours are at 20m intervals, enhanced by relief shading and altitude colouring, plus spot heights. Local paths distinguish between cart tracks and well defined / narrow / faint footpaths. 24 hiking trails are highlighted and cross-referenced to a list showing approximate walking times. Also marked is the course of the local section of the trans-European E4 long-distance trail. Road network indicates dirt road in poor condition, shows locations of bus stops and petrol stations, and gives distances on most small local roads. The map has a 1km UTM grid, plus latitude and longitude crosshairs at 1’™ intervals.
