Double-sided map from ITMB, printed on light and tear-resistant synthetic paper presenting on one side a street plan of Bangkok’™s central districts, with on the reverse a map of the southern part of Thailand and a street plan of Pattaya.On one side is a clear, indexed and well presented street plan of Bangkok’™s central districts at 1:10,000, with coverage extending from just west of the Chao Phraya River (including the Wong Wian Yai railway station) to beyond the Makkasan station which links the city to its international airport. Metro and Skytrain station are prominently marked and the plan also shows ferry lines and piers along the river. For drivers, main transit routes across the city are highlighted and pedestrianized streets are marked. A wide range of symbols indicates various facilities and places of interest, including hotels, restaurants, shopping centres, petrol stations, cultural and religious sites, etc. The plan is indexed and is accompanied by a diagram of the metro/skytrain network and a small map of the environs of the city.On the reverse is a road map presenting southern Thailand on two panels: Bangkok and its environs including Pattaya at 1:900,000, plus south of the capital the Kra Isthmus and the Malayan Peninsula within Thailand at 1:750,000. The maps show the region’™s road and railway connections on a base with altitude colouring. Also marked are ferry connections to and between the islands, including Ko Samui and Phuket. Symbols indicate various places of interest, including beaches, national parks and other protected areas, temples, etc, Most place names are given in both Latin and Thai alphabet. The panels have latitude and longitude lines at intervals of 1ยบ. The map has no index but includes a list of administrative provinces of Thailand.Also provided is a street plan of Pattaya showing locations of numerous hotels.
