Austria – Liechtenstein – South Tyrol Marco Polo Road Atlas

Road Atlas of Austria at 1:200,000 from MairDumont in an A4 spiral-bound format, with 13 street plans, plus coverage of the whole of Europe for route planning. The atlas is presented with the publisher’™s innovative system of providing peel-on/peel-off stickers for making selected locations more prominent when navigating.The atlas provides convenient coverage of central Europe’™s Alpine regions, extending north to Munich to include the German Alps, and south beyond Trento to cover the Dolomites. Also included are parts of northern Slovenia but with only the eastern half of the Triglav National Park. The mapping gives a very good presentation of the region’™s alpine topography through relief shading and plenty of names of mountain ranges, peaks and/or spot heights, mountain passes, etc. National/natural parks are marked; interesting geographical features are highlighted and given star rating.Road network indicates motorway services including CNG and overnight accommodation, steep gradients, seasonal closures and routes not recommended for caravans, etc, and gives driving distances on main and selected secondary roads. Scenic roads and tourist routes are highlighted. Railway lines are shown with stations.Interesting towns and villages, as well as many other historical, cultural or natural sights are prominently highlighted and annotated with star rating. Symbols indicate selected campsites, youth hostels, mountain refuges and/or tourist villages. The maps have no geographical coordinates. Extensive index lists locations with their postcodes. Map legend includes English. The atlas also provides city centre street plan of 11 cities in Austria showing main traffic arteries, one was streets and car parks, tram routes with line numbers and stops, places of interest, etc. Also included are street plan of Bolzano and Trento. The atlas includes mapping of the whole of Europe at 1:4,500,000 for route planning, plus an overview map of the region covered by it with main places of tourist interest, a distance table, and basic traffic regulations.A special feature of MairDumont’™s range of maps and atlases is a set of seven peel-on/peel-off stickers which can be placed on the maps to help with navigating, and removed without damaging the surface.
